The Chess Pie resulted in much leftover fondant. What does one do with extra fondant? Why make not-Oreos, of course. I swear I have a blog post about that, already, but I don’t see it now and I’m supposed to be working, so this needs to be fast.
A friend is having a birthday party for her dog. What better thing to bring that dog-bone shaped chocolate cookies? Yes, I know about dogs and chocolate; they’re not for the dog.
Since I made plain and chocolate fondant for the pie, I’ll make plain and chocolate cookies to match.
The chocolate ones held their shape. The plain ones, not so much. Could be many things even discounting the effect that chocolate powder may (or may not) have on baking. For example, the plain ones were baked on two racks at once while there was only one sheet of the chocolate.
