The coffee maker has lights. Who knew? The Larid, apparently. When I asked if he had noticed that it was suddenly illuminated, he said, “yes, I turned them on.”
Unrelated note: The other Walmart had bunches of HDMI adaptors. I bought the one I needed, but decided to wait to deal with the computer. It needs a clean install. I don’t feel like dealing with the process of downloading the latest image, burning it onto an SD card, and installing it. The gumption trap: Finding the USB thing that holds the SD card being burned.
