At least for this year. I wanted to get the “roadside” beds done before the deck went in. Mission accomplished – due more to delayed deck building than the garden bed project completing expeditiously.
That’s the ground-level view. Here’s what it looks like from the window:
I see no sense in adding soil, now. I’ll get that come spring. From front right to back left: Strawberries, raspberries, blue berries, black berries, strawberries, shady greens, beans, grapes (in the corner), onions, melons, tomatoes, cucumbers, corn, corn, squash.
We may run another set down the fence on the other side (leaving room for the gate to open inward) after we level the yard, which is also a spring task (deck or no deck).
