Humpty Dumpty sat on a wall
Humpty Dumpty had a great fall
All the King’s horses and all the King’s men
Couldn’t put Humpty Dumpty together again.
Leaving aside “who thought the horses would be helpful?”, the King needed some contractors amongst his retainers. The upstairs is coming back together better, stronger, and, um, slicker than before. We haven’t quite hit the six million dollar mark, but the cost is out of control.
The wall between the kitchen the bathroom is a wall again, concealing much improved infrastructure. The drywalling is about done – except my part of it. The shower stall is installed. The cabinets are here, as are the rest of the kitchen things, except the oven.
We only need the bathroom vanity and the kitchen faucet. I still need to build an under-washer drawer and my desk.
I’m saving the pictures until there is an “after”. While there has been much progress, we are still very much in the “during” phase.
