Starship!

I can’t believe I forgot! Congratulations, y’all!

I’m ashamed to admit that I did not go look for the results. I watched the “live” stream late and sat on the edge of my seat for something that was already over.

It’s very FTL. If you’re far away, you can watch what happens. You then “warp” in close and find out the result.

It was much like that moment when I was in a cavern in Armenia that had been used as a Christian church for 2000 years. I suddenly understood the idea of “sacred dirt”. I still think it is stupid, but I now understand despite my disagreement. This was an, admittedly lesser, revelation. I now understand why people watch sports matches that have already been resolved.

The drama of the victory is as important as the victory, itself.

Well, maybe not “as important”, but certainly non-trivial.

I love learning things! Everything considered, I do not regret having not watched it live. I learned more about myself this way.
