A Long Two Weeks

It’s technically work time, so this will be quick. Chapter 27 is Marcy in the dungeon, from the outside. It takes two weeks for her to out-level our intrepid heroes. That’s a year and seven months inside.

Getting the timelines to line up so they could interact was brutal, but I got it!

When she goes in, she’s at level seven. When Tom & Luke see her four days later, she’s level 16. Tom is already 24. Luke hits 24 on that Run (that’s what the cool kids call a dungeon run).

That afternoon, the do another Run. She’s 17. Tom hits 25. They decide that they want to try to stay ahead as long as possible.

They begin training every morning (Bob’s NPCs are teaching them how to actually fight, not just flail about – read Chapter 26) and running the dungeon every evening. Every other one lines up. The time dilation slides slowly enough, that once every two days is once every 72 days for Marcy, but the hour-of-day slips.

Day 5: Solo, Tom to 26 and Luke to 25.

Day 6: Party, Marcy to 21.

Day 7: Solo, no levels

Day 8: Party, Tom to 27 and Luke to 26 (Marcy’s at 23).

Day 9: Solo, no levels

Day 6: Party, Tom to 28 and Luke to 27 (Marcy almost hits 27).

Day 10: This is too fucking hard. Break day.

Day 11: no levels for Tom or Luke. Marcy hits 29.

Day 12: Party in the dungeon for Marcy hitting 30.

Day 13: training only – time dilation has slipped the time-of-day.

Day 14: Last run. Tom to 29, Luke to 28. Marcy’s 32. She’s out leveled them.

Elapsed time since she entered the dungeon: 15 days outside, 578 days inside.

A very long two weeks.

No idea what happens next. She’s now in a league of her own. That’s about halfway through her schooling.

Tom & Luke have stuff to catch up on since they spent the last 11 days doing nothing but training all day, every day.

Another two weeks outside while poor Marcy is basically on her own for another year and half. Need to figure something out (romantic fling with an NPC?).

No rejected image. Maybe I’ll add one at lunch.
